Step 1:
To begin, you will need to install an authenticator application on your phone, tablet or PC. Some options are:
- Authy App (multidevice, multiplatform, Recomended!)
- Google Authenticator for iOS
- Google Authenticator for Android
- Microsoft Authenticator for Windows Phone
- FreeOTP Authenticator
- WinAuth
- HDE OTP
Note: You can install and set up different apps to phone and PC (secure only if the computer is located in a secure place). In Future you have access to your LiqNET account from multiple devices. So if you lost phone, your can login from PC and swap T-FA secret.
Step 2:
Next, login to your LiqNET account. In the Personal Area, select Two-FA
Step 3:
You’ll need to add a LiqNETaccount in your authenticator app. You can do that using either of these 2 methods:
- Manually enter key or
- Scan bar code usingapp
Note: if you install desktop version, you can copy/paste private key by clipboard (unsecure).
Step 4:
IMPORTANT: Back up your recovery key!
Backup your private digit key/ barcode and put it in a safe place. If your phone gets lost, stolen, or erased, you will need this key to get back into your LiqNET account! Without this key, the only way to regain access will be to open a support ticket. Account recovery without your private digit key can be a lengthy process.
Step 5:
Your authenticator app will generate a passcode for one time use against the LiqNET account that you just set up. Go back to your LiqNET screen and
- Enter your password;
- Enter the generated pass code;
- hit ‘Enable 2FA’ button.
You're all set! From now on, every time you log into your LiqNET account, you will be asked to enter your password first followed by the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
